Even when we use teamdecoder in a project, we should not skip using flipcharts and Miro in workshops to work on the structure with the team.
Our task as consultants is then to document the insights afterwards in teamdecoder. For example, if the idea for three new work groups emerged on the flipchart and the participants formulated ideas on Post-Its about which topics the work groups should address, we transfer these work groups as Circles or Projects into our board and the Post-Its as Tasks.
If teamdecoder is already introduced, you can notify the people after your documentation. They can then check their reports to see what is new and leave feedback if something else comes to mind.
If you have a workshop where you want to rearrange roles already documented in teamdecoder (but don’t want to do it directly in teamdecoder) you can export a teamdecoder view as an Excel file.
If you then select and copy the table in Excel and paste it into Miro, Miro will insert each Excel cell as a Post-It. Since each cell is a role, you can workshop very well with this on the Miro board :)
And after the workshop, you can document the results back in teamdecoder!
top right is the export button
then select XLS
then each card becomes a cell
and in Miro, it turns into a Post-It
